Prak - Shastri

Sansthan has also introduced a buffer course, called Prak-Shastri , in which a student, who has passed class X of a Board Examination and has no previous background of Sanskrit, may be admitted. This is a two year course (XI & XII), but there is a greater emphasis on Sanskrit.

Shastri

A Student who has passed either Uttar Madhyama or Prak–Shastri or equivalent examination with Sanskrit may be admitted to Shastri , which is a three-year course. This corresponds to B.A.(Hons) in Sanskrit in modern education.

Siksha Shastri

A student who has passed either Shastri or B.Ed or equivalent examination with Sanskrit may be admitted to Shiksha Shastri , which is a one year course. This corresponds to B.Ed in modern education.

Shastri of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan or an equivalent traditional degree from any University or recognised examining body or B.A. in 10+2+3 education pattern (with Sanskrit as one of the main subjects) or Acharya / M.A. (Skt.) having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate, only after passing the SSET (Siksha Shastri Entrance Test) conducted by the Sansthan.

Shiksha Shastri

B.Ed

    The Candidate shall be further required to pursue a regular course of study as prescribed by the Sansthan for not less than one academic year in any of the Campuses of the Sansthan.Regular course of study shall mean atleast 75% of total number of lectures delivered during one academic year at the Campus and shall further mean atleast 40 lessons of practise-teaching in an approved school out of which 20 lesssons must be supervised lessons.

    The course of study, subject to the details prescribed in teh syllabus , shall comprise of two parts:Part I theory and Part II practical.The number of papers in Part I and Part II as also the minimum marks in each part shalll be such as may be prescribed from time to time in the syllabus of the course by the Sansthan.

    The minimum marks required to pass in the examination in each part shall be as follows-

    In Part I minimum pass marks shall be 45 in each paper. Minimum pass marks required in Part II(practical) shall be 50% of the total aggregate of marks in that part.

    Successful candidates in part I and Part II shall be classified as under-

    1.  Theory:      First Division:             60% marks in total,minimum 45 marksin each paper.

                           Second Division:       50% marks in total,45 marks in ech paper.

    2.  Practical:   First Division:            70% marks and above.

                          Second  Division:      60% marks and above.

                          Third Division:           50% marks and above.

Acharya

A Shastri or B.A. with Sanskrit may be admitted to Acharya, which corresponds to M.A., but is restricted to specialization in a particular shastra.

http://www.sanskrit.nic.in/bullet.gifNormally,a student shall be allowed to offer the same subjects, which he was having at Shastri level but in special cases, the Principal may permit to take a subject (other than Siddhant Jyotish) not taken at Shastri level.
http://www.sanskrit.nic.in/bullet.gifCandidates who have passed B.A. with Sanskrit or Vedalankar / Vakyalankar may be allowed to take Sahitya or Dharma Shastra or Sankhya Yoga or Phalit Jyotish or Karma Kanda at Acharya level. B.A. (Sanskrit) with Philosophy may take Advait Vedanta.

http://www.sanskrit.nic.in/bullet.gifCandidates who have passed Acharya in one subject or have done M.A. in Sanskrit will be allowed to offer any subject at Acharya level other than Siddhanta Jyotish, Veda, Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakaran and Mimamsa. However, an Acharya in Phalit Jyotish, Navya Nyaya, Navya Vyakaran may be admitted in Siddhanta Jyotish, Prachin Nyaya and Vyakaran and vice –versa.

Vidya Varidhi

A student who has passed Shastri and Acharya or equivalent examination with Sanskrit may be admitted to Vidya Varidhi , This corresponds to Ph.D in modern education.

"At Least "55% marks" obtained in Acharya or in M.A. from the Sansthan or from any other recognised University", for taking Admission to Vidya-Varidhi.

The admission to all these courses is done on the basis of the merit list of entrance test for which separate guidelines are available in sansthan.

Registration shall be made purely on merit.A student who has passed with 55% and more marks in Acharya or in equivalent examination, can apply for admission in Pre Vidya-Varidhi Entrance Test.
